You Will Need
Large Baking Sheet
Parchment Paper
Large Pot
Ingredients
2/3 Cup Baking Soda
1 Refrigerated Pizza Dough ( or Home Made Dough )
1 Package Hot Dogs ( Good hot dogs that you would eat plain, I like all beef )
1 Egg Yolk
Topping of Choice (Coarse Salt, Everything Bagel, Sesame Seeds, Poppy Seeds)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 450°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and brush with oil.
Bring 10 cups of water to a boil in a large pot. Add 2/3 cup of baking soda.
On a floured surface, cut the pizza dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece of dough into a long rope. Wrap one rope around a hot dog in a spiral, starting at one end and ending at the other, pinching the dough on each end. Continue until each hot dog is wrapped in dough.

Place the pretzel dogs into the boiling water a few at a time and cook for 30 to 60 seconds. Remove them with a slotted spoon and place them on the prepared, parchment-lined baking sheet.

Beat the egg yolk with one tablespoon of water. Brush each pretzel dog with the egg wash and sprinkle with your desired topping.

Bake the pretzel dogs for 12 – 14 minutes or until golden brown.
