Everything Bagel Pretzel Dogs

( Or Bagel Dogs )

You Will Need

• Large Baking Sheet

• Parchment Paper

• Large Pot
  

Ingredients

• 2/3 Cup Baking Soda

• 1 Refrigerated Pizza Dough ( or Home Made Dough )

• 1 Package Hot Dogs ( Good hot dogs that you would eat plain, I like all beef )

• 1 Egg Yolk

• Topping of Choice (Coarse Salt, Everything Bagel, Sesame Seeds, Poppy Seeds)

Instructions

• Preheat your oven to 450°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and brush with oil.
  

• Bring 10 cups of water to a boil in a large pot. Add 2/3 cup of baking soda.
  

• On a floured surface, cut the pizza dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece of dough into a long rope. Wrap one rope around a hot dog in a spiral, starting at one end and ending at the other, pinching the dough on each end. Continue until each hot dog is wrapped in dough.

• Place the pretzel dogs into the boiling water a few at a time and cook for 30 to 60 seconds. Remove them with a slotted spoon and place them on the prepared, parchment-lined baking sheet.

• Beat the egg yolk with one tablespoon of water. Brush each pretzel dog with the egg wash and sprinkle with your desired topping.

• Bake the pretzel dogs for 12 – 14 minutes or until golden brown.
