You Will Need:
A large ziplock bag
A baking sheet (if doing this in the oven)
Foil to cover baking sheet
Ingredients:
1 pack of all beef hot dogs
Your favorite BBQ rub
Yellow mustard
BBQ sauce
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F
Put the hot dogs into a large ziplock bag
pour about a ¼ cup of yellow mustard unto them, and move around to coat the dogs
pour in your BBQ rub, and move around to cover the dogs
Pour out the dogs onto the foil lined baking sheet
Bake in oven for 1 hour
Remove from oven, raise the temp to 400F
Cut each dog into 3 or 4 pieces, to make bit size
Toss the pieces in your preferred BBQ sauce
Put back onto foil lined baking sheet
Bake in oven for 20 minutes more, stirring at least one time
Remove when nice and sticky and caramelizing, and let cool a few minutes.
Enjoy
Notes:
You can use your favorite BBQ sauce, but one with honey in it will caramelize nicely during the second bake.
You don't have to use beef hot dogs, just use what you would normally eat
you could do this whole process on a grill, but I have no idea about the times involved
and my BBQ rub is made of brown sugar, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, smoked paprika and cayenne, but make it yours with your favorite seasonings
