You will need

  • A mason jar, thoroughly cleaned ( and a jar funnel if you have one )

  • A pot to boil in

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white vinegar

  • 1 cup water

  • some cloves of garlic

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • 8 to 10 jalapeno peppers, thinly sliced

Instructions

  • Combine the vinegar, water, garlic, sugar, and salt in a medium pot and bring to a boil.

  • Add jalapeno slices, stir, and remove from heat.

  • Let sit in brine for at least 10 minutes

  • Use tongs to move the jalapenos and garlic from the brine into the jar

  • Cover the peppers with the brine

  • Let cool some, then move to refrigerator, can store there for up to 2 months

Notes

Use as many garlic cloves as you like, I used a whole garlic bulb.

If you want these less spicy, take the seeds out of the peppers.

You can use any peppers for this, what ever kind you like.
