What? You think you don't like Spam? Try this sandwich.

You Will Need:
A skillet
Ingredients:
1 12 oz can of Spam
bottle of Teriyaki sauce or can make your own glaze, see recipe below
Sliced American cheese
1 can of pineapple slices
Hawaiian sweet buns
some sliced green onion
Instructions:
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat and add the oil.
Slice the spam into four equal size pieces
Place the spam in the pan and brush the tops with glaze.
Sear until golden brown, 3-5 minutes, then flip and brush the other side with glaze.
Add the cheese and cook for another 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Remove to a plate.
Add the pineapple slices to the pan, searing each side for 2-3 minutes.
To assemble, spoon the glaze on each slider bun, then top with spam and a pineapple slice.
Sprinkle with scallions and enjoy.
Notes:
Homemade glaze sauce
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 garlic clove, grated
2 teaspoons grated ginger
¼ cup hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons ketchup
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 Dijon mustard packets (2 teaspoons)
1 red pepper flake packet (1/4 teaspoon)
Heat the vegetable oil in a small saucepan.
Add the garlic and ginger and cook until just fragrant, 1-2 minutes.
Stir in the hoisin, soy sauce, honey, ketchup, rice vinegar, red pepper flakes and Dijon.
Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
