2 Ingredient Naan Bread & Super Easy Naan Bread

Easy 2 Ingredient Naan Bread

( Super Fast, Super Yummy )

You will need

  • Skillet or Griddle

  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 & ¼ cups Self Rising Flour

  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt, Plain, Full Fat

Instructions

  • Mix together the flour & yogurt until combined

  • Flour a work surface

  • Knead the dough, until smooth, about 3 or 4 minutes

  • Flatten the dough into a rectangle

  • Cut into 8 pieces

  • Shape each piece into a circle or rectangle (I like to roll mine out so they are fairly thin)

  • Heat the pan on medium heat and add a little oil ( I just use spray oil )

  • Add the dough to the pan, 1 or 2 at a time, and cook for about 2 minutes

  • Flip over and cook second side for another 2 minutes or so

  • These are really yummy warm, or can be served room temp as well

  • Enjoy

Notes

These are great plain, but also work well as a flatbread for sandwiches, as a wrap, or as taco shells ( think Gordita @ Taco Bell) You can also add spices or seasonings to the dough, such as garlic powder or taco seasoning, depending on what you will be serving it with.

OK, in case you don't have Greek Yogurt, here is a different recipe for Naan, almost as easy...

And I have made both recipes, but only have photos from the above one, but it works just the same, no matter which recipe you use.

Super Easy Naan Recipe

You will need

  • Skillet or Griddle

  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup warm water (105 to 115 F )

  • ½ Tbsp Sugar

  • 1 tsp Active Dry Yeast

  • ½ tsp Salt

  • 1 ½ cups flour

Instructions

  • Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.

  • Add salt and flour. Mix thoroughly.

  • Knead dough on a floured workspace about 20 times and form into a tight ball.

  • Put dough in a well oiled bowl and cover with a damp towel.

  • Put in a warm place to rise for 30-45 minutes. Dough won't rise much, but it doesn't need to.

  • Turn dough out onto a floured workspace.

  • Divide dough into 8 pieces and roll out with a rolling pin to about 1/8" thick.

  • Enjoy
